DBT for young adults

Course details
A structured group therapy programme that provides young adults with the skills they need to manage emotions, cope with stressful situations, and handle interpersonal relationships

This DBT Skills Programme has been developed especially for the adolescent age group and is delivered by our British Isles trained DBT therapists. This programme is dedicated to supporting young people age 14 to 17 years and implements:

  • Mindfulness
  • Distress tolerance
  • Emotion regulation
  • Interpersonal effectiveness

 

This programme includes out of session skills coaching, 3 x 1:1 sessions, 3 x family support evenings and DBT learning material throughout.

Nine-week course includes:
  • One two-hour group session per week
  • Three one-to-one therapy sessions
  • Three family support evenings for loved ones
  • Supporting materials
  • Out of session skills coaching
Initial assessment

DBT is a challenging and significant undertaking, not to be entered lightly. Before enrolling on to the main programme we will undertake a one-to-one assessment to ascertain how your mental health concerns are causing a problem in living.

Pre-commitment session – 1 hour

This course is payable in 3 instalments.
